Math: This week we are finishing our first fractions unit and will take the test on Thursday. Students will have homework Monday-Wednesday.
Writing: We are preparing to take the DWA writing test in March. This is a persuasive writing assessment. We will be taking practice tests on the computer weekly. If you are interested in extra practice at home, please contact me.
Reading: The book report is due next Monday, January 31st. Students received project directions at the beginning of the month.
Spelling: There is spelling this week. The packet is due and the test will be Friday.
Social Studies: We are wrapping up our Revolutionary War unit and students will be tested on the material this Friday. They will receive a study guide on Tuesday. If they know the information on the guide, they will do well on the test.
Science: We are finishing our unit on Physical Features! This week we will focus on weathering, erosion, deposition, and uplift. Ask your kids to tell you about the neat things they are learning! They will take the unit test next Tuesday.
