Math: We will be discussing simplest form of fractions and fractions to decimals this week. Students will have homework Tuesday and Wednesday.
Spelling: There is no spelling this week!
Vocabulary: Students are studying the definitions of 6 science words this week. They have a study guide, and should be prepared to take the test Thursday. Try quizzing them on their words at home by asking them to use the words in a sentence.
Reading: The book report is due January 31st. By now students should be done reading their book and should begin the project. I have given students time to work on the project in class and will give them some time in the future, however some of it will have to be completed at home.
Science: We are discussing volcanoes and weathering this week. Ask your kids what they are learning! Also, there are some fun science videos on www.uen.org. See my post two weeks ago with directions of how to access these.
Social Studies: We are finally finishing the Revolutionary War by discussing the different battles.
