This week we are continuing IOWA testing. If possible, students need to attend every day this week.

Math: We are reviewing everything we have learned up to this point and will then take a unit test this Thursday and Friday. If your student wants to check out a math book to review, that is just fine. They can also study by reviewing their old homework pages.

Writing: We are working on vivid details this week as we write persuasive papers.

Social Studies: We will be talking about Spain's Empire and explorers such as the Conquistadores, Hernando Cortes, Fransisco Pizarro, and Coronado. Students will work in groups to spotlight different explorers. All social studies will be done in class.

Spelling: Students will receive a spelling packet Monday and will take a test on all 20 words this Friday. Their spelling packets will be due Friday as well. The words this week are: hobby, believe, compete, delivery, angry, evening, tardy, fancy, trapeze, athlete, merry, pretty, penalty, ugly, theme, liberty, empty, shady, busy, and complete. Tips to make studying spelling words fun at home are listed on the side bar.
