Math: This week we are covering Order of Operations and Algebraic Expressions. Students will have homework every night Monday-Thursday.
Reading: This month's book report is any genre. Students must select a book that is close to 150 pages. They are making a paper sandwich for the project. Students received all the parts to the sandwich last Friday, only they must make the bread from paper. On the front piece of bread they must have the book title, author, their name, and a neatly drawn and colored picture. The book report is due December 16th.
Spelling: The spelling packet is due and the test will be taken this Friday. The spelling words this week are: vote, zone, known, follow, alone, microscope, arrow, grown, borrow, swallow, tomorrow, telephone, code, suppose, chose, sew, throw, bowl, owe, and elbow. We are focusing on 3 ways to make the long o sound...o-consonant-e, ow, and ew. Look at the side bar for ideas to make studying fun.
Writing: We will be finishing our letters to Santa and starting winter poems.
Social Studies: We are focusing on the American Revolution.
Please remember to look at and sign your child's planner every day. Thanks for all you do!
