About Me

Teacher Spotlight
This is my second year teaching 5th grade and I love it! I graduated from BYU in 2009 and so I am a huge Cougars fan and plan to attend several games this fall. (Sorry Utah fans!) I just got married on August 14th in the Provo temple to the most amazing man in the world! Bismarck is from Ghana but has lived here the last 8 years. Bismarck graduated with his bachelors in Chemical Engineering in August and is working on a masters in Biochemical devices at BYU and then plans to go to medical school.
I am a very outgoing person and love to try new things. I love to sing, dance, talk, read, hike, explore, travel, and do just about anything outside. My favorite sports are tennis, volleyball, and softball. My favorite movie is Prince Caspian and Amazing Grace and my favorite books are the Harry Potter, The Children of the Promise, Fable haven, and the Unicorn Chronicles series. I love all school subjects and that is why I chose to teach Elementary school. I am excited to get to know you all!

Ideas to help your child study for the spelling test
1. Use magnet letters,
2. Spell with shaving cream
3. Quiz them in the car
4. Have them spell aloud to you
5. Ask them questions about how the word is spelled and why
6. Clap on the consonants and snap on each vowel while spelling aloud
7. Have them look for their spelling words throughout the week in their home or around town. Each time they find one they get a point. If they earn so many points they get a reward.
8. Have them take a practice test the night before

8:55-9:15 Morning Starter/routine
9:15-10:30 Math
10:30-10:45 Writing
10:45-11:00 Recess
11:00-11:15 Writing
11:15-12:20 Reading
12:20-1:00 Lunch
1:00-1:10 Read Aloud
1:10-2 Rotations (P.E., Computers, Library)
2:00-2:10 Read Aloud continued
2:10-3:00 Social Studies/Science
3:00-3:25 Junior Achievement until end of October/Other activities as needed
3:25-3:40 End of day routine
Art is every Thursday from 11:15-12:15
